March Guide🌷
Spring is in the air in this month's edition of ideas to savor March- hobbies, activities, films, books, and beyond!
Hello March!
March feels like a new chapter begins in my book. Winter is finally drifting away and warmer weather is easing back in- thank the Lord lol. We are also one week away from ‘Spring Forward’ so don’t forget to set your clocks forward next weekend!
I want this month to be filled with momentum. This is the month where it’s easier to get more pep in your step and lock in on your goals for the year. January and February (depending where you live) are usually pretty cold with darker days which brings lack of motivation. Cheers to sunshine, warmth, and a new season!
In this guide to savoring March, I am sharing activities to try, movies to watch, books to read, important dates to remember, and some of my personal current favorites. Let me know if you have any fun plans on the calendar or ideas that I can add to mine. I’d love to hear from you :)
Let’s jump in!
To Watch:
Bridgerton S4 final episodes drop
Ahhhh Bridgerton is back! I am so excited and extra that I even made a dedicated video for the occasion lol.
The Luck of The Irish
This Disney Channel classic will always be my go to for March. It reminds me of my childhood and is so nostalgic.
Irish Wish
Another fun one to watch this month for St. Paddy’s Day! Cheesy or not, it’s a feel good movie with beautiful scenery of Ireland plus we love to see Lindsay Lohan thriving again.
Reminders of Him
Mark your calendars- March 13th another Colleen Hoover book to screen movie is released! I haven’t read this one but have heard everyone raving about it. The trailer looks good!
Hail Mary and The Bride!
These are two movies coming out that I am interested in seeing however do not know much about so if they’re meh, don’t blame me! Lol.
March 6th: ‘The Bride!’ takes place in the 1930s and features a scientist who brings a murdered young woman back to life to be a companion for Frankenstein’s monster.
March 20th: ‘Hail Mary’ features Ryan Gosling (hence my interest) who wakes up on a spaceship with no recollection of who he is or how he got there.
To Read:
Every platform I get on someone is recommending this book! It has over 300k reviews on Amazon and 4.7 stars so I will take yalls word for it lol. It takes place during the Vietnam War so you learn a little history while also getting an enthralling storyline of life-and-death situations and deep friendship. I have added it to my own list!
If you’d like an engaging and inspiring read, check this one out! It follows a girl who discovers a library of books all reading alternate versions of herself. Sounds very thought provoking and described as a feel-good book guaranteed to lift your spirits.
This book was a great read focused on creating a life you love and enjoy. This would be a goodie to kickstart your motivation for Spring and get excited to design your ideal future.
I enjoy Haley Pham on YouTube and her first book release is March 3rd so this is a brand new one. It is described as two childhood best friends share an impulsive kiss that changed everything. Years later, they reunite in their hometown and explore second chances and unresolved feelings. Sounds like a feel-good, fun Spring read!
To Try:
Attend a movie premiere night at a big theater
So I recently went to the opening night premiere of Scream 7 and had the best time! I don’t usually go the ‘superfan’ premieres but did for this one and it’s definitely worth the experience. We saw it in IMAX on opening night so it had BTS footage, free movie posters, Scream merch, and a good crowd that dressed up. It’s a steeper ticket price than your average movie ticket ($19) but worth it for the memories!
Outdoor workouts
March brings warmer weather but it’s still not too hot making it a great time to take your workouts outdoors! My favorite way to do this is jogging on a nice trail in the sunshine but you could definitely get movement in using weights, jumprope, biking, etc.
Garden prep
I cannot wait to start gardening this Spring! I have planted a pumpkin patch the past 3 years and love the whole process of watching them grow from seeds to a huge pumpkin patch. I have also grown peppers and cherry tomatoes that I use in my recipes. Now is a good time to research your gardening zone and see what plants or veggies grow best. Even if you’ve never tried growing anything, we all have to start somewhere! Highly recommend picking up this off screen hobby.
Dates:
Spring Forward- March 8th
1 month until taxes are due- March 15th
St. Patrick’s Day- March 17th
My Current…
These Weck jars have me in a real chokehold. I mean how cute are they for lattes and afternoon pick me up drinks?! I recently made a blueberry latte that I’ll be sharing soon in my Weekly Wrap-Up and used one:
Show:
Bridgerton S4- I am wrapping up the season and watching the final episodes that were just released!
The Addams Family 1 and 2- These were recently added to Netflix and I don’t care how old I am, I will always enjoy an animated movie! These are so cute and fun. I have never seen them so the spooky girl in me had to immediately.
Book:
I finished The Turn of The Key and absolutely loved it! What a plot twisting, thrilling story that definitely gives The Housemaid vibes. It’s set in the Scottish Highlands and features a nanny accused of murdering a child under her care but claims she is innocent.
Now I am reading a good old classic Gossebumps book- It Came From Beneath The Sink. I am keeping the thrilling vibes going here lol but really I’m just trying to make it through my unread books before purchasing more!
Tip:
Open your windows! I just did this for the first time in far too long and can literally smell the fresh air that’s been replaced in my room. This is a great way to detox your home from candles, dust, etc.
